OUR STORY
The Hair Ministry 2517 was founded and birthed by licensed cosmetologist and Hair Loss Practitioner Sherelle Thompson from Detroit, MI in 2016. What started as hobby as a child, transformed into an experience when Sherelle believed that every woman deserved to not only be educated about their scalp, but also pampered in a relaxing environment during their salon trip and that every strand deserved to thrive in an herbal environment. This is what THM 2517 focuses on. Every appointment, Sherelle's clients receive a "pamper session" the moment they walk through he doors. Complimentary alcohol free wine awaits each client while at the shampoo bowl, where aromatherapy fills the room, a customized pressure point head massage is given during the spa mist treatment. Sherelle's motto is "Healthy hair starts first at the scalp, is maintained by the proper care of the hair strand,

Through years of trial, error, and research, Sherelle has dedicated her career to being used as an instrument for Jesus Christ behind the chair, understading the hair shaft and scalp as a whole and what allows for them to flourish. From understanding what ingredients get pass the outer cuticle to actually penetrate the inner part of the hair shaft, the medulla, to understanding what herbs feed and nourish the scalp allowing different hair goals to be met. With this, our products were formulated to give your hair a new pH balanced restart.

why the number 2517?.

Your hair is like a plant and your scalp is the soil, so there's proper maintenance and nourishment that your hair/scalp needs in order to see results. A plant can't thrive if the soil is bad or if old things need to be trimmed away. This explains the "2517" in our name. It was derived from our theme scripture 2 Corinthians 5:17, "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!" When we encounter Jesus Christ, it's a life-changing EXPERIENCE. Every burden and dead thing that stops our spiritual growth, He takes away! So, our goal is to help remove scalp buildup and damaged hair so that your har can live and thrive again.
